SubTEams

CAD

CAD Team designs parts for the robot, parts for marketing swag, peer awards, and more. Working with OnShape, students learn how to completely design a part from idea to creation.

Manufacture/Build

Hands-on with parts, premade or house made, this team puts them all together, and rebuilds them on the fly should something go bump a little too hard on the field.

Programming

Coding team writes the code that makes the robot do what the robot does. From moving with a controller, to performing the year's various tasks, to fully autonomous code to run hands-free for that portion of the game, it's all written here.

Marketing/Media

Our Marketing and Media team works on team photos and videos. They also design things like the team's shirts for the season, the overall theme for the robot and pit, peer awards, and more.

Wiring

Without clean, efficient wiring the robot could never run as well as it should. The wiring team works hard to make sure wiring is all tight and out of the way of any moving parts.

Drive

The drive team is responsible for actually driving the robot during the events. They get the robot to the field from the pit, get it setup in the right location, run it during the matches, and get it all back to the pits afterwards.

Cooking

Food is fuel for our team members. The cooking team is responsible for coordinating and preparing meals for our Saturday build days as well as snacks and coordination of meals for events.

Scouting

Scouting is vital to our game day plans and successes. Scout team watches matches throughout the qualifiers, noting many relevant aspects of what each robot on the field does. This data is compiled and studied to help with playoff alliance selection and overall statistics. Scout team also helps find recipients for some of our peer awards. Most team members who are not on drive team will spend time scouting during matches, so everyone is always involved.
